We are SO EXCITED to introduce today’s Back to School Week ”must have” to our readers! Each member of The Mom Squad has come across this Etsy shop on at least one occasion and we all were stopped in our tracks by not only the cuteness of this item, but the functionality of it!
Today, we bring to you….THE OUCH POUCH!
dun, Dun, DUNNNN!
Karen, the mastermind behind this brilliant design, is a long time crafter and OBVIOUSLY a fantastic problem solver! Like most moms, I carry around a small bag that has all the little necessities that one might need when they are out with their little ones. I like to call mine the “Mom Emergency” kit…but one thing I couldn’t stand about it was the fact that I would have to DIG to find something as simple as a band-aid or thermometer. Not only that, but because it closed with a zipper, it would take two hands to open…and I usually only had one to spare! This is where the Ouch Pouch came in to make life so much easier!
These small, adorable pouches have a see-through front window so you can easily locate the item you need. They open and close with a simple snap, so moms on the go can balance a baby and reach for what they need with only one hand!
Now, while these pouches are great for moms on the go, they also make great little additions to your school-aged child’s back packs! Need a cute affordable back-to-school gift to give your child’s new teacher? These Ouch Pouches are perfect!

this is sooooo cute and what a smart product!!!! I cannot leave home without my cell….it keeps my 11 month old calm no MATTER what….as long as she can push the buttons shes is happy! Also, lotion…Im a freak about washing my hands and need to lotion up my poor dry hands constantly
What a cute idea! I ALWAYS carry sunscreen, a few bandaids, some “owie cream” aka…neosporin and a few treats like a sucker or fruit bar in case there is a boo boo
Thi is an awesome idea! I have my sons “emergency” items stuffed in the pockets of his diaper bag and it’s a mess! In my ouch pouch I would carry band-aids, diaper rash cream, gas drops, orajel, and a few other baby items I’m always needing!
What a great idea! Those are so cute!
Stickers! I know it sounds silly to carry stickers around in an ouch pouch, but it’s the little things like that….that will stop the crying for a sometimes alreday frazzled mom. They are great for those times when you don’t have the band aid handy to cover the invisible owie. Or when your child falls and was looked at and starts the “you saw me cry”….A “where does it hurt” and a “let me kiss it a away”…and a little dinosaur sticker or butterfly or heart sticker also help a little. A few of my friends have started this and stickers go a long way for owies and even entertainment at doctor visits.
this is amazing!!! I always like most moms carry all this stuff..
Definitely can’t leave home without sunscreen & gripe water!

Hey! I remember this! I have her favorited on my etsy page already! love these things…
And personally – suckers are a must have for us. Easy way to quiet a child or get him to sit still when trying to pull a splinter out with the tweezers from the ouch pouch.
Hand santizer, band aids, sunscreen, and always neo to go. What a cute idea!!!
I live in Texas so I never leave home without my “sting stop” stick or spray!
Right now I always make sure to have baby Orajel.
That is such a great idea ! I always carry sunscreen, a small bottle of water, bandaids, neosporin, and Tylenol. This is a great way to keep it all together.
This would look a lot better than my ziploc bag! And a lot easier to get into. I usually carry the normal things like bandaids and disinfectant but I also carry tweezers for my 3 yr old who sticks whatever into his nose or ears and then sunscreen for my daughter. She has an allergy to light so she burns very easily and her skin bleaches so it’s a must have no matter what time of year!
So CUTE!!!! Im one of those moms that carries EVERYTHING!!!!! Sunscreen, Hand sanitizer, Kleenexes, Meds (my 4 month old as severs acid reflux & muscle spasms! Has to be on 3 meds!), Baby Tylenol & mommy tylenol, Bug spray (my oldest is allergic to some bug bites) & his itch stick, teething tablets, thermometer, boogie sucker & saline drops, diaper rash cream, lotion, snack, paci wipes, & whatever else I can get in there! Now that I have two the oldest as a backpack & the baby has a big diaper bag!! LOL headed to see if they have baseball or western fabric!! each boy needs one!! Thanks for the site!!
I usually try to have on hand in kailyns bag neosporin, her infant first aid kit, bandaids, diaper rash cream, wipes, germ x, and if we’re going to be gone for a while I will take some motrin too…. I try to be prepared
LOVE these! Great idea!
I love that it has a lolipop in it! HOW CUTE!!
These are great! Right now we can’t leave home without a teething ring or sunscreen.
this is NICE – and would def be put to good use!!! BandAids don’t like my wallet – they disappear!
I would definitely keep sunblock and band aids! Those are the current must-haves.
Definitely bandaids and neosporin!
Must haves would be sunscreen, bandaids, tissues, and anything else my wife tells me to take.
Suncreen and hand sanitizer
so cool! neosporin, bandaids, hand sanitizer, tweezers, and stickers
What a great idea!!! My son is 13 months old and teething so i def. would pack some orajel, teething tablets, and tylenol
a few bandaids and a thermometer!
I would definitely have my teething tablets and arnica in their along with some calcium lactate tablets. Then I’d have a thermometer, a couple of bandaids, single pack wipees, and probably baby nail clippers.
It looks like a lot of the comments have given me great ideas! Also I like how in the picture it has a lollipop- great idea to calm down a crying kid!
